Do these chips provide bathy detail and nav aides?

I do not believe they are chart chips, just proven hot spots/waypoints, etc.

mboy is correct. They do not have any charts or chart-type info (depth, navaid, etc.), but just lay the spots onto your plotter. I have one (Lower Keys, etc.) and so far so good. I think it was definitely worth the money.

Yep, that's true. One of the reasons I think is that most of the newer GPS chartplotters are coming with enhanced Bathy and cartography, so why would you want to compete or duplicate effort? Gettin the fishing spots is all I care about, and as I stated before - these Hot Spots Fishing Chips work! I have two of them now.

How does something like this work when you use a platinum chip for expandability? I am looking at the new A70 from Raymarine with the preloaded charts but plan on expanding when I save up some extra money.

We are working on custom orders for the Furuno line. The issue is that there are different formats (chips and file types) across the Furuno line, (NorthStar as well) unlike Garmin and Lowrance that use mostly the same chip per each model. Believe me, its a lot to keep up with. Send me the info on your model and we will work with each one of you individually.

As far as how they work with platinum chips etc. You load our Hot Spots Fishing Chip into the GPS unit's internal memory, and then remove the card. You can then use any of the Navionics or other makers cards.
We call it the best of both worlds, because you have the benefits of both, bathy-cartography and actual productive fishing spots.

You all can always feel free to email us for any additional questions you may have. Thanks !!

Why can't you just put the discount here? I emailed you over 2 weeks ago with some questions and never got a response.

Hi Tim, I recall your email about Furuno VX2, which we are working on now. At the time we did not have the product in our store offering. We are working on the many flavors of Furuno and NorthStar formats, and I will contact you once something is available.
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I apologize !

Thanks,
Bill

We are also working on the N J chip, but it will not be out for several weeks. Thanks for asking !
