Weird Sirius Channel Problem - The Hull Truth

Just installed new stereo system (Clarion CMD5, CL1, JL M650, JL M6600 speakers) and love it. The problem is the Sirius occasionally drops all but 8 or 10 random channels. I spend 30 minutes on the phone with Sirius tech, they re boot it several times and eventually I get all channels back. I'd understand if it lost everything ( connections ect.) but to continue to work and only recieve a couple of random channels ? Any Ideas ?

Had the same problem when I replaced my head unit last summer. What the Sirius tech said was that the unit was not getting a complete update.

I had the same problem last year with my unit. My battery turned out to be on its last leg. After the battery went I had that replaced and all channels came back. I would make sure your power unit is secure or recharge the battery. The tech's I spoke to were no help my only solution was when the battery gave out on me and the problem was fixed after a new battery was installed.
