Any news out there of the unit that will replace the Garmin 478 in the near future

Stand alone built in power with built in ant

The 640 duplicates all of the features of the 478 except the batteries, I think. $1200 RETAIL.

The 640 also does not have the fishfinder capability from what I read.

I was wrong. it has a 9 hour rechargeable lithium-ion battery. And it will fit in a jacket pocket, unlike the 478.

If I didn't already have eight Garmin GPSs....
