Default Help with display monitor

I'm looking for fully waterproof 15" monitor to slave from my PC. It will be on the flybridge so also needs good sunlight view. Must be flush mountable and have at best 1 DVI input at worst 1 VGA input. Don't need 10 inputs or PIP or audio. Must look OK and be reliable.

I had a look at Nauticomp - they only want $9,500 for a 15" monitor. Are they kidding? Also saw Argonaught for about $1,300 but it's really ugly. Any suggestions?

Gonna cost you. I'm in the market myself. So far best bang for the buck seems to be :

Vei is a great brand and has something to fit any situation, but again, $$$$$. Ditto these guys

and KEP

I spent time at the Miami show looking at monitors. There is a big disconnect (as in 50X more expensive) between mass produced low brightness LCDs and daylight, marinized stuff because the latter are virtually hand made in very low quantities. No free lunch, unfortunately. I talked to Argonaut and they are moving way up in price because their low end stuff just couldn't hold up.

Raymarine has monitors that are usually used for the G series that would fill the bill. They are not cheap but are less than you have written.

The Raymarine monitors are just rebranded KEP so you might as well cut out the middle man if you choose it. You might also look at the Furuno 15" unit. It's built like a rock and there is a $500 rebate being offered.
