Northstar 6000i Password

I am trying to change some settings on a northstar 6000i unit that I bought. It is asking for a password to make some of the changes. Does anyone happen to know the default password (in case the owner didn't change it) and/or how to reset it?

i believe you have to register it with Northstar then they will give you the password that matches up to your serial number. I'm pretty sure that is what it says in the manual.
