Default Furuno Radar Antenna with Garmin GPS Combo Unit?

I have a 22 BW Outrage that I bought last year with an older GPS, Garmin 182, and Fishfinder, Garmin 240 Blue. I was able to get a recent chart from Garmin on the gps and the fishfinder works fine. I also added a Furnuo 1623 Radar, which gave me a functional electronics package.

It’s been a year and now I would like to upgrade the electronics. If I stay with Garmin I believe I could use my existing gps antenna, which is new, and the existing transducer. I like the Garmin 3210 combo unit, but I don’t know if I can use my Furuno radar antenna with the Garmin 3210. The hope would be that the radar image would be displayed on the Garmin unit. I really want to have only one unit, and this would be a nice clean fit on the relatively small console of the outrage. The other advantage of the Garmin unit is the cost compared to a complete Furuno setup. If this isn’t possible I am open to any other suggestions.

Has anyone come across this? I tried searching previous posts, but had a difficult time finding anything. It may just be wishful thinking on my part.

Thank you,

Jay

can't happen. Breaking it down a little and being a bit overly simplistic, Garmin's radars do everything in the scanner, and feed units like the 3210 over their proprietary ethernet protocol sending the actual data/video down the cable. Up until the newest furuno domes that came out to support nn3, furuno scanners sent signal down their 11-15 lead cable that was in turn processed at the host display and turned into video.

Thanks for the response, I was afraid that was the answer. Although, I was hoping someone might have been able to make it work. So it sounds like with my Furuno Radar antenna, I will need to find a Furuno combo unit.

Thanks again for answering my question. Does anyone know of a good Furuno combo unit model that is somewhat “reasonably” priced?
