Default please help me with my Raymarine...

Not working please help I went out yesterday and tried my raymarine system... For some reason it would not read bottom at all... I get a symbol in the top right corner that its working however nothing... depth reads --. I performed a dsm 300 reset still nothing.

I checked my fluid level in my transducer tank and im good.

I changed the setting to reflect the M260 transducer. are there other setting that I need to change?

Is there an issue with the version of softwhere or is it a Navonics Platnum chat that im running?

I called raymarine and the tec told me that I need to get another transducer and try holding it over the side of the boat...

I do not have the latest softwher installed. I was told by a tec that I should wait for the new softwhere to be released

When I get home from work I will try powering straight from the house battery... I should also note that when I installed my e120 the dsm 300 was reading a depth with the boat on the trailer...My thinking was that the fluid level was low due to the angle of the trailer at the time of the fill.

Please help I was pissed that it did not work… I followed raymarine directions and paid a professional for help installing the transducer.

I'm not the expert you're waiting to hear from, but let me throw out a couple of thougts anyway:
1. You have a right to be frustrated. Shake it off in order to develop a logic plan
2. Do you have a volt meter that will show you whether there's enough current going to the DSM?
3. Are you able to turn power to the DSM OFF while starting engines in order to eliminate voltage spikes?
4. Disconnect and connect the plugs from the ducer to the DSM a few times to eliminate the potential for corrosive interference.

That's all I can add. Good luck!

The new software is out. Do a search for DSM upgrade, there is quite an extensive thread on the process.

If the depth reads out and the you see the connect icon in the top right as connected then the DSM has power and talking to the screen.

Maybe the depth setting is set to manual and it is not seeing the bottom because it is not in range. I have made that mistake once or twice......

Check the status LED on the DSM, that will give you an idea of where to look, codes are in the manual. Is the depth flashing or reading steady?

^^^ What Have none said!! Depth could be out of range. Check your settings.
