ipod "showcase" by contourcase.com- I don't get salt spray on my dash....if it was that kind of day, it would come off and I'll listen to mp3 discs...and no groves not in biz anymore...

try it out - it does not give me enuf info or let me make playlists on the go, or direct access to a song. I like the direct use of an ipod myself....
this may change as the displays get bigger...like on the cmd6...Clarion is the only head unit I recommend..others may be good, but I know the clarion will not disappoint 2 years from now....

What do you mean by direct access to the song? I assume it lets you pick your programed playlists, skip and reverse, and change volume. The IPOD will be close enough to change playlist if needed I am just thinking about running out (we have 2 hours of it to the gulf stream). I am close to pulling the trigger.
Since Groove is out of business where is the best deal on JL audio speakers? I assume they are still the way to go.
Guys-
This is not a spam-so please don't take it that way.
I have just started working with www.goldenshellback.com-a company that has developed a way to splash proof electronics.
It is done in a vacuum and coats both the outside and the inside of the device. They are currently coating phones and ipods for the public.
I will be walking the Miami show meeting with manufactures -but I will have a demo ipod with me if you want to check it out.
PM me if you want to see it
Thanks
Tim

They are doing several types of phones and ipods currently for consumers. Currently they are focusing on working with manufactures and looking for a partner for direct to consumer business. Kingair-I will pm you.
The rating is splash proof-but everyone wants to drop their coated devices in water! It is really designed for casual/accidental splash or immersion. They have tested certain devices-like a ipod nano to JIS7-which is 1 meter for 30 minutes.
Thanks
