Raymarine A57d sounder/plotter combo

Looking to install this unit in my center console. Just checking to see if there are any reports yet out on the performance. Mainly the sounder details and the internal GPS antenna for reception. Console will be shaded by a bimini top. Thanks for any info before I take the plunge.

RM has one of the best sounder in the market. You can't go wrong with RM.

As for your other questions - others with more hands on experience will chime in.

A note: Unless you are running out of helm real estate. Get a larger screen.
