Default Nauticpath vs. Navionics

I've used Navionics chips in my Lowrance products but they have always been used offshore. I was recently given a new Lowrance LMS527cDF to replace the 6yo Garmin 182C in my Hewes Redfisher and was wondering if the Nauticpath chips had the same amount of detail as the Navionics chips.

I think you will like the Navionics chip better than the Nauticpath. Depends also on which chip you decide to get.(silver, gold, or platinum.) I think that the Nauticpath is not nearly as good and I have heard customers complain that it is hard to tell the difference between reefs and land, which can be a major problem.

Have used both, my GPS has them built in, were just as good so I sold my Navionics chip and havent missed them. If you only fish in 1 area then the price difference isnt that big, if you need coverage in different areas then you need the bigger XL chips and the cost goes way up.

Nauticpath is excellent. Difficult to imagine it being hard to tell the difference between reefs and land.

I have both a Navionics Platinum and a Nauticpath for my LCX 37C.
They are about equal as far as detail.
I pretty much stick with the nauticpath as the Navionics P. seems to hang at times when traveling between boundries on the chart and not refresh as fast. I believe this is a software issue between Navionics and Lowrance.
Plus the Nauticpath chips are a lot cheaper

Not too much of a difference between the 3 that I can see, yeah the Navionics shots have some different symbols but for the money the Nauticpath looks good to me.
