Default Purchased New Raymarine A60 for $524.99: I think I got a good deal?!?

So I was in need of a new chartplotter for my duckhunting boat. My old Garmin 176 took a crap on me during the gator hunts. I wanted a smaller Garmin again, but they are really proud of those units in terms of pricing.

I found a new Raymarine A60 for only $724.99, but was able to use Raymarine's rebate program to make the total purchase price $524.99. I know its a bit much for my duck boat, but dang what a great deal for a chartplotter/fishfinder.

Just keep in mind that the RS12 is not WAAS compatible any longer. I personally don't think it is a show stopper, but wanted you to be aware of it. You would need to upgrade to a Raystar 125 antenna and cut the connector off the RS12 to get WAAS again since the FAA took two sats out of service.

Agree with DOWOP:

Also, the A60 is discontinued according to the FL rep I talked to yesterday, something else to keep in mind...that's what kept me from buying one...I'll spend a little more and get a A65 or FCV585......

A65 is to be discontinued as well with the new A series coming out. New A series will have sonar built in. Keep a keen eye out for the HDS Lowrance Units as well.

Back to your original question. The A60 is a nice unit so just enjoy your purchase.
