Default C120 and sirius weather

I have had my C120 for 3 or so years now and have always liked the idea of the sirius radio and weather. I want to hear from people that have the C series and have added this function. Is it worth the money ( weather mainly, I know the radio is worth it)? Is it functional and easy to use, or is it a pain in the ass? I have radar and all the other bells and whistles and if worth, it I would like the capability of satelite weather?
Thanks,
Maclin

Depends on your type of boating, frequency of boating, and whether weather (that sounds funny!) is an important consideration.
In my area (west central Fl), daily thunderstorms (often severe, 30-50 mph winds, hail) are commonplace in the summer. The sirius WX clearly shows them with direction and speed of movement allowing ample time to get out of the way or get inside (most of the time). Radar does the same thing at shorter ranges, but can't give the "big picture".

The radio function is great and I use it, but that alone is certainly not worth the price tag for the equipment and service.

I am in the northern GOM and we have popup storms all the time. I wanted to know if the real time satellite and wind and wave info is useful enough to justify the service. Also, if the SST readouts are good and accurate. I use my radar all the time, but when I could use the satellite weather to know of storms before the radar picks it up that would be really helpful.
