Default Garmin card reader...

Having trouble finding these in the store. Anybody have a spare one laying around they want to get rid of? Same thing with the blank cards. I need a 32 meg one in order to do the updates on my 3206.

Thanks
Ant.

I'm surprised you can't find one. If it's the same as my 4208, you don't need a Garmin branded unit.. I bought a SD card reader/writer and card at Office Max; I think WallyWorld would have them too..

If I remember correctly, was 20 bucks or so for the whole works..

3200 series use a special card, not the SD like the 4200's. Amazon has them for $37.00 with free shipping. They have the cards too.

Pm me your address, I'll burn you one and send it to you free. I got piles of them left over. I'm heading out of town till Monday so it might take a little while.

OK, free card has been burnt with latest upgrade for 3206. Awaiting a new home. If your quick I'll stuff it in the mail before I hit the water. Karma baby, 20 miles into the woods, twenty miles out. Just paving the way!

If you're talking about the Garmin "chip burner" and chips, not the SD card, a couple months ago, ebay was overun with them. I bought a few cards but burners were also available. At good prices.
