Infinity or Alpine speakers

I need a set of new speakers and was thinking of the 2 above mentioned speakers. I have read lots of good stuff about the infinitys but nothing on the alpines. The alpines a 7in. and the infinitys 6.5in. I am not looking for JLs as they are way more than I would like to spend.

No experience with Alpines so I can't compare.
I can say the Infinity Kappas are an excellent value considering their good sound and durability.
I'd buy the Kappas again for <$100.

I had a magnet fall apart on a 6x9 Kappa, maybe 1.5 years old, not good. I prefer the Pioneer 8" round speakers now. I've had the 6.5" Pioneer on a few boats and have the 8" on my 48 and the sound quality from them is very good.

MB Quart would be my next choice but they are double the price.
