Default fcv 585 to garmin 4208 nmea 0183

the furuno unit in the install that the ttl way point information can be sent to your chartplotter via nmea 0183. i have the tx from the garmin and the rx for the furuno hooked up so i can get the gps data on the 585. Does anyone have the correct connections so as to send the information back to the garmin. the furuno colors for tx are a- white, b- blue. any help will be appreciated

Here is the only thing you will gain.

When travling over the water and finding a spot that you want to input a waypoint with the quick push of a button. That waypoint will now have the depth at that waypoint. That's IT. that's the oly gain you will have.

Now the negative that you will have is a cluddered screen on your bottom machine with redundant info that is already on your chartplotter.

Give me a clean screen on my FF any day. I want to see all the detail on the bottom and sou rounding water.

TIf you choose to display lat/long and temp that's the main advantage to the Ray FF over the Furuno is that the data windows on the Ray FF displayis transparent. They don't block the water column display. You can choose to make the connection but turn it off but you loose the temp readout.Wart's point is well taken.
