Software version 3.00 for the Garmin 400/500 series CP's is now available for download from the Garmin site. Here are the spec's of the update.

Thanks Tom, FYI Garmin has updated auto routing for long island from 6' min to 3' min..just recieved updated chip

Thanks Tom, I have learned more about my Garmin from your videos than from Garmin... LOL you should market "How To Videos", I bought one from Bennett and was to basic.

A couple of observations on the new software. If you have an SD card in and hold the Home button for a second, it will take a screenshot bmp and put it in the Garmin\scrn folder.

Another discovery -- when turning on, hold the power and select buttons for several seconds and you will be presented with a test mode screen. The plus and minus buttons will take you through the various test screens.
