Default Raymarine C80 Sounder General Question

I have a C80 multifunction unit and i am having a heck of a time getting my sounder to limit out at a specific range. I want to view a range from 0' to 200'. I have tried and tried to get it to work and cannot figure it out.

Any tips out there.
Jim

Did you have the frequecy set on 200 or 50 that is most likely your problem. Go to fishfinder setings and go to gain and adjust. in shallow water put it on 200.

Push the range button, then select Manual and set the range that you want. It is that easy

I was using the bottom lock feature to set the range (suggestion from Raymarine contact center). Maybe i was over complicating it. I have tried so many combinations a cannot remember them all. I fish in very deep water but i am only interested in the top 200'. If i can get this to work right i will be very happy.

When all else fails ask the experts (users manual and tutoral sure didn't help)

Thanks,
J
