Default Garmin 3210

My Garmin 198c is starting to give trouble... Nmea out has quit working and it cuts off every 2 or 3 hours... I've been looking at the Garmin 3210 as a replacement. Does anyone have any experience with this unit? i like the features and display... although i'm a little hesitant on the price.

I've got the 3210 network bundle with sonar xm weather and gps. I love it, although it has had some glitches which were software related. I carry a second handheld GPS for safety and have not had to use it...although I am surprised that for a piece of navigational equipment, that your life could depend on, Garmin seems to be ok with glitches that software updates fix...

Had one for a year--and it was full of glitches. It finaly quit and was sent back to gArmin. The replacement was fine. The cartography is excellent; it turned into a first class machine. Lesson learned--don't be the first guy on the block to own a new
Garmin device!

The ff was not as good as I would have liked--could have been the transom-mount transducer.

Have one and it works great. Interfaces with Vhf, radar and sonar. The manual doesn't show you everything. You have to play with the functions etc. Really easy to use if set up properly. It'll do about anything when using it. Make certain you get all current updates from Garmin. There has been several

Thanks for the advice! The "instrument cluster" is kind of appealing... has anyone tried to set this up on conventinal gauges? I have a Navman fuel monitor that i could never get to work with my earlier Garmin 198c... is the nmea in/out any better than the 198c?
...and what about prices from online dealers? suggestions?
