Were trying something new, allot of customers are requesting speakers in either the electronics box or under the T-Top. However Wakeboard speakers don't always fit the bill. So our fiberglass dept designed our own speaker pods. The can fit up to an 8 in speaker. Since so many tops are different we are leaving it up to the customer to decide how they want to mount them. Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks

The flat part goes against the the underside of the T-top or under the E-box. So bottom up in the picture. The boxes come with the small 4in hole and are fully sealed. We are also using them on 3 piece boats like contenders and for under the gunnel mounts. We expect them to sell for under $200 per pair.
I was looking around trying to find an e-box with a smaller door in the middle, that didnt span the entire front surface of it, so there was a flat place on each side for a speaker. Combo ebox and speaker thing. Have you ever heard of one of those?
I do like these boxes, too. Will be measuring the t-top again tomorrow.
I was wondering if there might be a market for something like this, for people with smaller CCs who would like to put an ebox, speakers and a couple angled spots up under the t-top;
I think big enough to handle six inch speakers would be okay, since on a small boat they would be right above your head and pointed at you.
Seems it would be a nice package, and address three needs of the small center console boater. The lights would basically help a lot avoiding obstacles and docking at night. I know the space in the middle would be limited, but think it would be enough for a few things. Binocs and a stereo?
The box is Shaped like this: 0=0. The two side pods are definitely big enough to hold 6.5" speakers, possibly a little bigger. My only complaint about it is that the center hatch is not very big - maybe 6x8", but once you open it you can stuff a decent amount of crap inside. It's a pretty good setup for mounting speakers.
Yeah, thats what I had in mind. I was thinking on keeping it pretty low profile so it doesnt stick too far down and obstruct your vision. I think limiting the speaker size to the 6"diameter would give you a little bit more room in the center, but as you say, not a whole lot.
Oh, man that one is almost perfect, but I want one without a radio mounting surface. I am thinking of taking SWFL's nifty new speaker boxes and mounting them at 90 deg. angles on the ends of a short E-box....that would do it, but the box would have to be short enough so that the speaker enclosures didnt stick out to the sides too far.
Those sound like a great idea. I have always had trouble finding spots to put speakers and to this day still do not have a radio. It gets tough between rod holders on the side of the console, no under gunnel access, etc. Just got the XM reciever for my new Garmin so seriously thinking about gtting a radio. I think this is the ticket.
dude............
they are sick.
I wish you had them available when I was having my t-top manufactured.
What are you suggesting for the wire runs on these?
