Default Raymarine autopilot problem, HELP!

I have one of the $1000 Raymarine hydraulic steer autopilots (don't remember the exact one). It has been on the boat 2 years, and worked in most conditions great. This summer, the readout started saying "no pilot", and wouldn't go to the correct display. I turned it off then on, no help. This is the 2nd problem I've had with this unit, first fixed under warranty. What to do now??

I am guessing you have a S1 corepack with a ST6001 control based upon your description. Right now, my guess is that your ST6001 is getting voltage from someplace else in the boat's SeaTalk network (like wherever the power for the Ray RS120 or RS125 GPS sensor that you probably have for a GPS with your plotter is coming from), and that your course computer is not seeing any current from the larger DC input wires going to it. Now if you grab your meter and there is 12v getting to end end of those leads and into the course computer, your computer has a problem, but if there is no juice there, figure out why and you've solved your problem.

What model A/P do you have ?

If is is an S1, etc. check the SeaTalk connection to the computer. Sounds like the display & computer are not communicating (via SeaTalk)

There are two fuses in the computer that are easily accesible blue 3 amp is for seatalk and the other is for main power. It sounds like the power fuse might be blown because when these lose power it will display no pilot.

If you paid $1000 for it it must be a S1000 autopilot. Make sure the NMEA connection is still good, this unit needs COG to work.
