Default Raytheon V850

Jim,
I am recieving strange depth readings and it is not showing bottom with the Raytheon V850 FF. What transducer options are there with this machine? I would like to switch head units without swapping out the transducer if possible. I checked out the internal battery and it read 3 volts. It is a 95 vintage machine and I'd rather not mess with the transducer at this time. It is probably not worth putting any money into repairing the V850 either. I just want to get through the summer with some kind of FF. thanks for any help.

With two adapter cables plugged in back to back (not my ideal long-term solution) you could use a DS600x for a fishfinder only or a A60/A65 as a sounder/plotter combo. The first (and more important adapter) might not be available anymore it went from your 7 pin to a 9 pin for the old l470 vintage RM sounder, the second adapter would go from that 9 pin to the current DS/A6# plug which if I remember is also 7 pin but in a different layout. Call RM tech support, and if they will let you, talk to Winston, he is their sounder guru, and he will get you the part#'s and if they are still available.
