Default NMEA 0183 GPS (Garmin) to Lowrance Net??

Anyone been able to do this yet? I saw one thread where someone was going to give it try. Seems like GPS signals should be pretty standard. Is there a Lowrance cable or converter or something. I like my Garmin plotter and don't want to have to get the LGC2000 antenna deal just to get GPS info to the Lowrance network.

I am just awaiting the Actisense gateway to come to market and I'll let you know.

The NMEA183 signals are completely different from NMEA2000 signals. Unless there was some kind of 'converter', they could never talk to each other.

I have a LCX-104C which is NMEA0183, so I went with the LGC-2000 way for the Lowrance net NMEA200 setup. I was able to snag one off ebay for $60 new in box with a T-connector. With a little patience, you should be able to do the same as boats with twin NMEA200 Lowrance GPS systems will sell off the extar just because they don't really need it. I like the idea of the Actisense, but I wonder at what price it will sell for? I found 1 place on the net that has it listed but not available for GBP$59.
