Default need feedback on electronics...garmin 4212 or 5212?

Hi guys,
I have made the committment. After searching from Ray to Furuno going with my heart and history...Going Garmin on the new long aticipated ride after much debate. Just love the interfaces so much more than the other products and for my style ....simple is good.

Here's my list....please let me know what I am missing besides connectivity stuff.

2each Garmin 4212 or 5212...have not decided which. Dual screens on flip up panel
Open array 6ft radar- Garmin
TR1 Autopilot- now Garmin
2kwatt digital fishfinder Garmin
vision chart Garmin
1kw Airmar m260 shoot thru transducer
Clarion CDM5 stereo
mp3 player plug in set up
Icom vhf radio
2 apx 480 Clarion amps
6 jl audio speakers
1 sub Jl Audio- still working speaker set up
17 inch wide screen wall mounted LCD tv in cabin
DVD player flush mounted in cabin interfaced to Garmin network
2 each underwater lights Xenon 50w or similar blue l.e.d lighting

So......what did I miss? What should I consider changing?
6 more weeks...free rides for everyone!

Regarding 4XXX vs. 5XXX units -- I would be hesitant to use a touch-screen display with all of the coating issues with past units. I can easily anticipate spotted and scratched displays - I would certainly lean toward the 4XXX units.

I agree completely. If the only difference between the 42xx and the 52xx series is a thousand dollars and a touch screen, please sign me up for the buttons.

I don't know this first hand but someone told me the touch screens are glass. Scratching will not be an issue. The 5XXX units are also not as wide, an advantage for anyone who has space issues.

I've played with the new touch units - they are solid glass screens- no coatings - no screen issues for garmin on these units..clean them with anything you want....the touch units are smaller exterior but bigger screen...I'd buy the 5000 series....

If money weren't a factor, I'd buy the 5000 series over the 4000, too. I just can't justify the extra $1,000 for the touch screen, even though it fits better on my dash.

Once you play with a 5212, then the 4212 you'll go with the touchscreen guaranteed. The screens on the new units are bonded glass and have no coating on the outside.

Ok, if the touch screen is glass, I like the idea. Now, I wonder if the cutout is the same?
