Default Furuno product line changeover

Heard a rumor that Furuno is planning to introduce (this summer) a replacement for their NavNet platforms. Smaller (less deep, lighter, etc), faster, etc.

In particular I am interested in the 1834C or 1934C radar/plotter. Wondering if it makes sense to wait a few months for a new product launch.

Anyone got the scoop?

I have heard that NavNet3 is in the works but no known ship dates. They are more conservative than some other brands (like Garmin) in announcing new products.

3rd quarter of 07 was what I had heard for a release of the Navnet3. If you have decent equipment now, I would wait till next winter & re-rig during the off season.
