Default Ray215 & Furuno GP30 NMEA connections

I recently purchased a Ray215 VHF w/ DSC to replace my older Icom

I want to use the NMEA output from my Furuno GP30 GPS to supply datato the Ray 215

The manual for the Ray215 clearly shows the wire configuration as Blue (NMEA input+) & Purple (NMEA input-) The actual wires are marked as well. The manual for the Furuno GP30 shows the NMEA configuration as Data 1 NMEA 0183 White (terminating at RD-H) & Blue (terminating at RD-C). My question, of course, is which wires to connect to which. Ray blue to Furuno blue OR Ray blue to Furuno white? I know I have a 50/50 chance of getting right the first time but I thought somebody here at THT could help me get better odds. Plus maybe tell me something I haven't planned on

Thanx in advance Tom
