That lithium battery is mentioned in the owner's manual but the part # is not listed and the battery is not shown on the schematic. Best bet is probably calling Raymarine or a dealer and see if they will still supply that part. I'm pretty sure it is soldered into the main board. You could open up the case & see if the battery shows the specs on the side and just hunt around the local Radio Shack for something similar, even if you have to jury rig a holder & leads.

The battery is not necessary for F/F use, and personally I never use the now very patheticly outdated chartplotter function anymore so my unit's battery has not been changed in the last 8yrs at least. The V850 was circa 1994-5 or so. Still a good (backup) F/F in complete shade or dark of night, completely worthless in sun. Let us know if you have any luck.

ttaxi;
Raymarine gave me a part #5zbad00073, Backorder not till end of May. My client decided to remove it from the board. I'm going to try and cross reference it. He doesn't want to buy a new unit, don't know way. But i;ll let you know if i find a replacement. Thanks for the feedback.

You might also try calling JRC...back in the day, they built the V850 for Raytheon.

rlg, Thanks for the part # in case I ever decide I'd like the battery before shelving the seldom-used V850. If you find it & install I would be interested in actual ease of replacement, thanks.

TTaxi, Found one thur Raymarine, It's on back order till May. Simple install, just be careful with the soldering iron. I use a Weller Variable temp soldering iron so as not to destroy the board. I'll let you know when it's in and running.

I found one thru an internet search at a web portal. If you still need it I can find my receipt. The GPS antenna also has a battery.
