my screen on my c120 has seemed to develope what looks to be water pitting that will not come off. It is extremely visible when the display is off. Any advice?

I have the same problem. My cover never stayed on that great and blew off leaving the ability for salt spray to get on my screen for a few months. Now I have to tape my cover on when I leave for the season to make sure it does not blow off. Let me know what RM says.

If its not a hard water deposit then it sounds like the screen film has bubbled. Probably nothing you can do about that except get a factory repair.

Beware if you need a Raymarine factory repair. My 4kw Raydome took 3 weeks for them to turnaround on warranty work. Plus the time at the installer. About a month of down time. Same thing happened when I sent to E120 back. Way to slow on customer service. Just thought I'd let you know that in case you send it ,back don't be in a hurry to use your boat.

You needed an installer to reinstall a previously installed radome? 4 bolts and 1 electrical connector...I hope you didn't pay anything for it.

FWIW, the few items I've returned were back to me within the week.

STOP! no plege, no windex. Use a product that is safe for non-glare coatings- I use/recommend this:

http://www.touchofpurple.com/

in a pinch, pick up some distilled water at the local phamacy, put it in a CLEAN spray bottle, and add a drop of dish washing soap.

Get a good micro fiber cleaning cloth ( Ilike the blue ones from 3M) and keep it clean, and use that.

The screens on current 'daylight' veiwable units are very touchy, and just swiping some spray off with your shirt sleeve will ruin them-

If your C120 is under warranty, you can send it back and they will replace the screen for free. My anti-glare coating was coming off easily, simply by touching it. So I sent it to the Raymarine repair center and they replaced the screen for free. Just got it back and with the virgin screen, I threw on a navprotector.com screen protector to keep it looking new. If it's out of warranty, the cost to replace the screen is $150. I spoke with the technician at Raymarine who replaced my screen and he said the new screens and anti-glare coatings should be better and not come off as easilty but still need to follow the instructions on cleaning.

When did you speak with them?, I just ordered a C80 this week and hope I have the newer version. For what it's worth I've had no problem with their customer service. They're 20 mins up the road from me, I dropped off a fogging fishfinder on a tuesday and it was back on my door step weds am.
