I do not need the model that has XM radio capabilities as I have Sirius.

I want one that will plug into my home audio system. I'm liscenced to get both weather and music on it but I can't use it except when mobile. It's supposed to be usb but has a wierd connector and I've yet to find an audio reciever that will take a usb XM Antenna. Go figure!

Dog-I think you are referring to the auto weather system subscription.



I need the Garmin marine Satellite XM weather system module.

I need either the GDL30 or GDL30A. here is the link of what I desire.

The 30A is more expensive but I do not need the radio portion so my willingness to pay the premium for the 30A is limited.

I have the USB XM XM antenna that interfaces to the Garmin 478 or 378. Garmin GXM 30. I pay for weather and music both, but the music through the 478 is ...well....bad!

All my antenna amounts to is a puck about as big around as a baseball with a tiny usb connector straight to the GPS 478.

It sure would be nice to find a home audio receiver where I can just plug the antenna in and listen.

On the other hand the cost of my GXM 30 vs the GDL 30A is more than just a few bucks, and they both do the same thing.

Go figure.
