Default northstar 6100i?

Does anyone have info on this equipment? How does the sounder compare to raymarine? What about quality? Easy to use? Any info would be helpful. I'm looking for a networked system and cannot find a clear handsdown winner. Thanks.

I am in the same boat as you. The northstar chartplotter is awesome, very easy to use, lightning quick. I hear the radar and sounder are average.

Northstar products have always been notorious for their user friendly interface and the quick refreshing of the chart plotters. I also heard the newer digital radars are very good. Not too sure about the sounders.

For chartplotting, Northstar is #1. BUT, as far as radar and the fishfinder, I feel they arent on par with the others.

I am not to concerned with the speed of the chart plotter. fish finder, radar, and screen size are my main concerns. I run from pirates cove to Oregon inlet. I have been doing this for many years without a chart plotter at all so any speed chart plotter would be an upgrade. I fish offshore and want a great fish finder and good radar. I have a issue with the amount of space available to flush mount the screens. I also have duel stations. express boat.
