Boat storage units near Shellman Bluff on the Ga. coast were recently hit by thieves. Approximately 40 boats lost equipment and electronics. I lost about $4,000 in electronics. Other owners are slowly filtering in and finding a mess on their boats. Most units were taken without wiring or protective display covers. I plan to post a list of missing electronics S.N. info on all the boating sites when available from other owners. The large boat storage sheds at Blands Boat Storage were the only ones hit. If you are a victim of these thiefts or if you have been offered cheap electronics at an unreasinably low price, please contact me. My estimate of the total losses is over $100,000, they only took high end electronics and high end fishing equipment. Boating season here is just getting started so many owners are still not awair of their losses.
