Default New In-Hull Transducer and Temp Probe

My transom mount transducer broke (Garmin 320C) so I opted for an in-hull model (Airmar P-79) and I have experienced improved performance and I am shocked, I was skeptical wether it would even work but the performance is improved I have never lost bottom with the new setup even backing, and I seem to have much better detail resolution, the install instructions urged to keep the transducer cables away from other cables to minimize the effects of noise so I re-routed them during the install and the reduced noise allowed me to increase my gain without getting sparkles all over the screen. Also with the in-hull I needed a seperate temp sensor, so I got one for $40 and the replacement is actually metal vice molded inside the plastic "puck" Wow what a differance!!!!!! I can actually see temp changes instantly where my old one gave me a very slow response, no wonder I was having a hard time offshore with temp breaks. I think the probe and transducer will greatly improve my fishing for very little money, I will always get an in-hull or through hull for now on with a seperate temp.

Good going on the new ducer. What make and model did you get for your temp sensor? I need a stand alone unit for my plotter.
