Default ACR Epirb Battery

Whats the current price price for a battery replacement & testing and what's the deal with the antennas? I heard that the older yellows ones need to be replaced and are covered under warranty by ACR? Is this true?

Thanks,

Try sending a pm to ACRGuy. Hes been a big help to lots of us. Ref. the antenna, when I had my battery changed, they asked before I sent it if the antenna had broken. It hadn't, but they advised that lots had and if mine had broken, ACR would probably cover it.

Thanks,
Plan on $250-300 depending on the specific Epirb you own for battery replacement and service check at an authorized ACR dealer.

Default Epirb Antenna

The antennas are covered under under warranty and EPIRB batteries run $200 and up depending on the manufacturer including installation.
Send me an e-mail at briank@lrse.com or you can call 401-816-5400 to reach me. Thank you, Brian Kinsella
