If you need help trying to decide which life raft is best for your vessel, please allow me to offer suggestions on which would be most appropriate for you to have. Many ways to get in touch with me, here on HT, phone (401)816-5400 or for formal quotations e-mail is best at briank@lrse.com.
I know space is at a premium. I would look at a Switlik Rescue Pod, Winslow Coastal or if you are strictly near shore the Revere Coastal Canopy. If you send me an e-mail, briank@lrse.com and tell me how far you travel offshore I will send out some quotes. Thank you, Brian
What do you recommend for USCG approved 4 man, offshore capsule on a cradle.I want to mount to pilothouse roof.I already have survival (immersion)suits so I dont need it to be insulated.Want a unit compact as possible.Im planning on going to the Boston Boat Show, will you be there,Peter
If you are state registered your minimum requirements will be an IBA, basically a platform with 2 independent tubes, basic equipment pack and no canopy. The IBA's dont have the weight of a SOLAS raft and the canisters are smaller. I'm pretty sure I have a pre-owned 6person with cradle here on consignment that may save some money. It would not leave here without a full 1 year inspection. Unfortunately we are bypassing the Boston show but you can come here to Portsmouth, RI anytime you like, just give me a head's up. Feel free to contact me with any questions, briank@lrse.com or 401-683-0307. Thank you, Brian Kinsella

Brian, i would love to find a pre-owned USCG approved offshore 4-6 person raft. I need it to be in a Valise bag because I want to be able to stow it on my 26' Regulator and be able to toss it on my fathers 42' Sea Ray. I would also consider and IBA but whatever I get new or used has to be USCG approved. you can email me directly at ytmorris@suddenlink.net.
I put your e-mail in my scheduler to keep an eye out for a pre-owned consignment USCG approved 4-6 valise. I will e-mail you if anything comes in. In the meantime you can e-mail me anytime at briank@lrse.com for quotes on new life rafts. Thank you, Brian Kinsella
Hey ...Im looking for a 6-8 person raft thats insulated...dont know much about them. I primarily run over to the bahamas/keys. I have a 37 ft boat and would ideally like to find one in good shape used. Could you suggest and brands or models? Thanks in advance

I have some great deals on some new left over 2008 DSB offshore life rafts. This is a fully blue water raft with 2 independent tubes, full canopy and double insulated floor. It also is vacuum packed so it has a 3 year inspection interval. The 6 person valise weighs approx 65lbs and the 8 person 75lbs and not a very large pack size. Think of a suit case with dimensions of 29" X 17" X 13". The price for the 6 & 8 valise is $2200 and $2400 respectively. E-mail me at briank@lrse.com for quotes or spec sheets. Thank you, Brian
1) 6 man liferaft for use in Long Island Sound up through Northeast Harbor, ME. Primarily coastal use but with occasional offshore trips, would be willing to pay for for more substantial life raft. This will be fitted to a Tides 27 (currently in Skipper Helme's yard).
2) EPIRB recommendations for the same and am leaning towards one with GPS built into it.
3) Radar reflector for a 15' whaler (old school) for running around the fog in Maine.
Thanks
Gordon

Thanks for the post. I have some good options for a life raft and EPIRB for your Tides 27. Please send me an e-mail at briank@lrse.com so I can offer HT discount pricing and e-mail spec sheets. As for the radar reflector the standard echo master by Davis Instruments. It’s time tested to work regardless of the visibility. Thanks again, Brian Kinsella
I have a 24 foot CC and fish mostly 30-40 miles offshore with a once or twice a year trip 90-120 miles out with buddy boats ofcourse. I fish the Atlantic ocean out of central Florida. Space is a concern, what type do you suggest?
BrianK,
I sent you an e-mail like you have requested others to do regarding a raft for my 26' commercial boat and have not heard from you yetIt has been a few daysJoe Ludwig
