Dan,
My Revere 6 man Offshore Ocean raft should be brought in this spring for its first repacking.
What can I expect? Can I wait for it? How much does a repack of this caliber usually cost?
Thanks in advance
Tim
Give the answer for all of us. Please. I know it depends on which one, right. So give us all the revere repack and I'll get my info and submit it for everyone to see. You pm and we'll never know. Mines almost up also.........
No one responded to this yet??? it is there busy time of year. I take mine to the place on commeral st in Portland Maine, can't remimber the name, but I think it's Maine liferaft serives. look them up in the phone book.
I went to LRSE today for a viewing of my raft inflated along with a crash course on what to expect should I ever need to use it.
For answers to you questions I would pick up the phone and ask them directly. They are very easy to deal with and from what I saw pretty busy doing exceptional work.
no, they run a series of tests/inspections and one is a leak test that takes quite a while to ensure the raft holds pressure for a certain amt. of time.
They do however have a bunch of pick up drop off spot so maybe that would make it easier for you?.
Dan asked me to respond, my name is Brian Kinsella and there are a couple of factors involved in servicing a L/R such as last service date etc. but a general price would be in the $500-$1000 area and our turnaround is in the 2-3 week area. Respond or call me at 1-800-451-2127. Thanks, Brian Kinsella
these guys are great.. been using them for about 9 years, they inspect and repack my raft every year (commercial use/ charter), have seen there operation when dropping off or picking up the raft, its clean and professional. i trust my raft will work properly and have all proper gear in it if i ever have to use it. the cost is the cost, its very inexpensive insurance..
