Hey Derek....could you tolerate breaking in a newbie to offshore saltwater?

I'm up at Randolph AFB in S.A. currently (and possibly for another year).

Been lurking around the board for a while...most likely gonna end up over in Destin sooner or later and I've been doing my homework as to what to buy once I get over there.

I grew up trolling the big water in Michigan for salmon and walleye. I'm really interested in learning how to fish the gulf before getting a rig of my own. Been down to Port A a bunch of times fishing the jetties and the beach, but it would be great to get back on the water. Navigator trainings got me locked up most of the time during the week for the next few months but the weekends are (usually) free. Let me know if you ever want to set up a weekend trip.

Thanks,
-Birk

Hey, I've been looking for the longest for some fishing partners...I live near Randolph AFB also, and would like to learn fishing in Aransas area. Also, I have a 22 foot seahubt WA, so we can alternate if necessary

Derek,
I just relocated to North Padre Island from the NorthEast. I would love to join you for some fishing.

FISHING PARTNER WANTED
I live in Schertz just outside of San Antonio. I’m retired Military and 68 years old with a new fresh water fishing boat. I like fishing for all species; anytime day or night. I do prefer to fish during week days (because it isn’t as crowded) but will fish week ends also. The coast is great and I’ll fish off docks, wade, shore and of course a boat if I’m lucky enough to find someone that needs a fishing partner. If you like to fish as much as I do lets get together. I’m available almost EVERYDAY. GoinFishin@satx.rr.com

Derek,
I've fished the Port "A", Rockport area since I was a kid. It's great place to fish .If your new to fishing there you could try the first rigs straight out from the jetties .My brother and I just drift fish with ribbon fish. Usually catch King and black tip or the occasional ling.there is also a cluster of 5 rigs to the south about 5 miles. I'm working in Iraq right now or I would be glad to go fish 'in. It looks like your getting replies so it doesn't look like your going to have any problem getting a partner. well good luck.
Safe boating,
Dan
