How far out do you have to go to catch AJ's and whats a good area to look I'll be leaving from Pascagoula MS

Not sure this helps you but we have caught them in 100 ft of water in texas. On a wreck.

This time of year leaving out of goula you will want to get to the rigs or a wreck in at least
125' of water. During the winter you will find them in a bit shallower water but 125 is a good place to start for nice "rig donkeys". Deeper rigs are always better as they seem to attract bigger fish... personal best was a 71#er caught at the horseshoe rigs.in 275' of water. Good luck
