Crazy. Wonder how many actual fishable days there's been since January 1 for most rec boats. Now factor in whether days fell on Friday-Sunday which is most likely 3 days a working guy may fish. How could a quota been reached. Just can't believe fed numbers.

Here's my real world example of the economic impact of this situation. I won't be able to use my newly ordered AJ rod and reel setup. Heck I haven't even got rod yet from Conley guys.

Red snapper - closed
Trigger - closed
AJ - closed
Grouper - closed in 120+ feet
WTF am I supposed to fish for?....

Stop the commercial of all of these fish immediately. We the people need to take back our natural resources!

They view the recreational anglers as the problem. Any species considered overfished needs to be taken off the table commercially.

Every year some old BS, except worse. Punish the recreational fisherman while the commercial fleet can continue to sink their boats with fish. If the states don't get control, it will get worse. Whats next: tuna, wahoo, dolphin?
The fishery is so mismanaged. Look at the over abundance of sharks...and snapper. Next, the NOAA will protect the blue runners, jack crevalle....such a disaster.

Contact your Senators and Congress.. NOAA goal is to eliminate all recreational fishing by 2020 .. now that's on Bull.. We are a nuisance to commercial fishing

Looks like this honest hard working and tax paying man right HERE is about to become a hardened criminal. Amberjack closing march 24th, and trigger fish completely closed for 2017..... that's garbage! I try to follow the rules, but at some point I will take matters in my own hands within reason

these noaa asshats finally admitting to giving false information about the weather when it fit their agenda, I wonder when they are going to come clean on the fisheries part.

At 2 fish a day year round AJs were ridiculously plentiful. What are they looking for, the last dive I did around a rig in 70ft of water I would have walked across the damn amberjack. You. cant troll a live bait anywhere near structure in the gulf without catching one. They have absolutely no clue whats happening out there.
