Robert's Point Park is on the end of a little peninsula, with no motels right next to it.
Here's a few within a reasonable walk:

Captains Quarters Inn .75 mi.
235 W Cotter Ave
Port Aransas, TX 78373
(361) 749-6005

Harborview Motel .88 mi
121 W Cotter Ave
Port Aransas, TX 78373
(361) 749-6391

Tarpon Inn 1.0 mi
200 E Cotter Ave
Port Aransas, TX 78373
(361) 749-5555

Have you considered renting a house? I have rented in Port A many many times (condos, hotel/motel and houses) and if you can get into a house. They typically run cheaper per person if you are staying for a week. I rented a 4 bedroom with 6 other folks for a week and the cost was something like 200 per person. Again, that was for a week and the house was sweet - off of Avenue J if I recall.

Ahh, I see... So all you really want is a place to sleep at the end of the day..

As mentioned the Tarpon Inn, but they tend to price gouge sometimes when big tourneys are in town. Best Western is a good place as well as Plantation Suites (but it is a little farther down the road a couple miles).

Here's a website I always used from the chamber of Commerce. Good luck and looking forward to hearing how you do!

I sure do miss my favorite spots at Mud and California Hole/Estes..

Let us know if you found some place to stay. I am in Aransas Pass, right across the ferry from Port A. We have some nice little motels that would do well for you.

I see you live in River Ridge. I am originally from New Iberia, La. and now living in Aransas Pass. Have you fished the tour yet or is this the first time? Fishing has been tough here for 10 days. We now have a full moon and they are definitely feeding at night. Caught 3 reds yesterday to 26" but not until 5:30pm.
