Port Aransas Redfishing - The Hull Truth

Guys,

I am planning to fish in the FLW Redfish Series. The first Tournament is in May of next year out of Port Aransas. Any tips for that time of year? I will probalby hire a guide to scout before the Tournament. Any suggestions? Keep in Mind that we will be looking for Slot Reds under 27". I will also be making a couple of scouting missions prior to. I would also appreciate any suggestion on inexpensive lodging, and info on Marinas in the area. I slayed them with a friend in shamrock cove on live mullet. Fly line them into the holes.

Executive Key and Captain's Quaters are aroung $50 / nigh, before spring break. Don't expect any deals around then. You can bargain with Captain's Qtrs, when they tell you the rate ask them if they have a better deal.
