I'm planning a trip to Mexico Beach Fla. in mid January. Hows the fishing there and should I bring my 18' bay boat or wade / surf fish.

I would also like to take my 76 year old uncle on a charter trip if I can find a guide that will do us right.

For a inshore charter, try Captain Trey Landry. I have posted a link to his website above. He is a real personable guy and can probably put you on reds or trout in January.

If you want to fish from the hill or wade fish, I would suggest the Highland View Canal. If you want more information, just let me know!

Check www.floridasportsman.com in the panhandle section. Most charter guys there check it.

Thanks for the information guys. I will be there Jan 15-22. Hoping to wade fish, surf fish and do some inshore stuff too. I think I will charter a boat rather than drag my bay boat from Dallas. Wishing the fishing is good then.
