Default Heat problems with aluminum hulls?
We are considering an aluminum hull for our first power boat. It would be used on a river, the Intercoastal, and inshore near St Augustine FL. One dealer says a welded aluminum hull would be fine. Another says only consider fiberglass, the aluminum hull gets too hot. Any comments?

I have been in some of the darker aluminum boats (Ex: dark green G3) in the summer and they will light you up they get so hot.

Paint or Rhino Line with a light color, and don't worry about the heat. Aluminum boats are tough and easy to maintian.
