Whats available for fishermen in the Steinhatchee FL area? (defined as all accessible Gulf areas close to Gainesville) I know this a general question but I'm just trying to get general info on whats available to someone trying to stay within 20nm from shore. Whatever information you can provide would be helpful and it does'nt have to be species that are there year round since I'm not sure when I'll be there.

I'm living in Jacksonville and have been over there a few times. It's a nice place to fish and there are a lot of grouper caught off the natural bottom over there. It's also a great place to fish inshore, but the bottom is hard so be careful you could lose a lower unit. The trout and redfish are the main targets but at time the big black drum show up too.
