not cool...ships model has it in the southern gulf at 120 knots in 120 hours

i always go to wunderground under the tropical section...they seem to update often. ships intensity model is the last data line in the top left corner of info......i was mistaken...its mph, not knots. 116 mph. not great either way. lots of SPECULATION on the possibility of a CAT 5 storm in the gulf. looks like its forecasted to really get going in 48 hours..hopefully it will stay south

40% chance of being a tropical storm in the next 48 hrs.

looks like the model above stays updated. this one seems to be the most dangerous so far this year. going through and area with record sst

It's the NOAA Maimi National Hurricane Center, all the rest get their info from it and then start making their own guesses.
