Default Orange Beach/Mobile Bay Towing Service Question

Does anybody have any recommendations for towing service in the Mobile Bay/Orange Beach area? I currently don't have a policy, but would like to have one. I mainly go out of Perdido Pass, but sometimes I trailer over to Fort Morgan and run out to the rigs. Any first hand information would be really great.

Thanks,
Phil

Phil,

I have Sea Tow out of Orange Beach but I believe their service is actually in Perdido Key or West Pensacola. I've been a member for about 5 years but only had to use it once. I was about 5 miles out when I called but he was on a job at Pensacola Pass. I managed to putter back to the jettys and still beat him there. My steering was messed up so I didn't want to try to go thought the pass. Once he got there, he did a good job getting me back to my dock and would not take a tip.

I think the membership is about $115 per year. If you don't get Sea Tow, get somebody! It is great piece of mind.

Doug,
Thanks for your reply. It's good to hear some positive first hand experience with a local company. Some of these companies have received less than stellar reviews, while some have gotten rave reviews. It's hard to know what to do sometimes. Thanks again, Phil.

I live in Mobile and fish out of Dauphin Island. I keep my boat at DI Marina. I currently have Seatow. There are two Seatow boats right there on the island as I pass going out to the Gulf. I know that area has good service even though I havent used them and hopefully won't have to. Also, I got grounded about 1 yr ago right out in the bay. I called Vessel Assist (I had them at the time), they responded promptly with a call back but thankfully I got off the bar in about 15 mins and called back and canceled the call. Hope this helps.
