Thanks for the heads up. Pogies at the Dock cost an arm and a leg.

You can buy pogies ay Captain Larrys for $20 for 50 lbs. At Venice Marina last year they were $50 for 25 lbs. Captain Larrys is located at the 61 mile marker right below Belle Chasse.

FWIW Capt Larry's is closed for Mardi Gras.

The VM pogies are not the best. They smell rotten even when they're still frozen.

It didn't matter b/c kings and sharks will eat anything and that's about all we had in the slick.

Lot of boats ot Sun morning, lots. Only one other one at night.

that makes me feel a little better. I got a crew together friday night but called it off sat. morning. I had a feeling it would be a boat show and I have a funeral to go to today. that along with conflicting forecasts on when the front would come through caused me to cancel.
how many boats?

I won't be long and it'll be like the old spot: the only time the fishing will be good is early in the week or when it's to damn rough to get out there.

Haha the old spot the place to be I bet!

We'll see when the reports come in. It was in blue water. We were in green.
