Saw on Nat Geo this morning where global warming is actually leading to the record lows. Try to follow this one:

Global Warming causes the polar ice caps to melt. The induction of cooler water in to the gulf stream starts to shut down the Atlantic "conveyor" (gulf stream, etc). The lack of ocean currents causes massive cooling across the EU and North America. Makes sense right?

Yes, I believe that. Especially since all this weather is coming from the west coast!

Google "ENSO" which is El Nino something something . . . these are all effects of a typical strong el nino year (including unusually WARM temperatures in the Pacific Northwest and Southeast Alaska).

We noticed it was pretty HOT in Alaska last summer was the first indicator . . . we had a hug algae bloom, and lots of bait and tons if fish after the bait.

My good friend (who is one of the longest running charter guides in Venice) looked back at his booking during other strong El Nino years and said he hardly got out at all (MANY cancelled trips).

Any of that sound familiar?

It sucks, but we might do an overnight Sat night anyway. Time to make 'em pay.
