Default Any one in Louisiana interested in taking me fishing if I pay all expenses?

I have been trying to put a trip together to Louisiana for over 2 months with my fishing buddies. We have been going to Florida for the past 15 years but I want to try some place different this year. I'm tired of doing all of the planning only for someone to back out at the last minute so I'm thinking of making the trip by myself this year.

What I would love to do is find someone that lives in the Venice area (or where ever else there is good fishing) that is maybe retired, not working, or interested in taking some vacation time. My plan is to fly in and rent a car, stay where ever someone can recommend. And just catch fish. If I could get out fishing 3-4 times in a week that would be great. I will pay all of the expenses.

It would be great to find a new friend and I will be happy to reciprocate if you are interested in coming to Lake Erie. I will take you out fishing on my boat in the islands area for walleye, small mouth, or yellow perch.

I want to catch fish unil my arms hurt and have fun. I don't care what kind of fish we fish for but it would be great to catch an assortment of different species. I am a very experienced fisherman, I have owned boats for more than 30 years, I don't get seasick. I can bring my own equipment but would prefer traveling light if you don't mind sharing your equipment with me.

Time frame is up to you, I am available to come down March, April, or May. After about mid May I will fishing in my boat on Lake Erie so I want to come down before then. Actually I would like to come down in March to get away from winter here in the far north!

If you have any interest please respond to the thread, PM me, or e-mail me directly to: russturbo@aol.com You can also call me @ 419-376-9399 which is my cell phone. I am the only one that answers this phone so if you get my voice mail just leave me a message and I will call you back.

If you are interested in hanging out with me and fishing, fishing, fishing, I look forward to hearing from you!

Russ

Looks like you may have to resort to charter boats and guided trips.

What you can do is contact a few of the charter captains that post here. Alot of times they could use help filling a charter. Another place to post this request at www.rodnreel.com. Also, check there list of charter boats and email your request. Trying to fish 3-4 days in a week March thru May is going to be hard due to weather. It can be done though.

RussH - What you can do is send me an email at reelscreamersft@aol.com, if you are flexible on your dates. We do occasionally send out emails to our email list when we need walk-ons or a fill in on a charter. In fact, I have one coming up very soon.

Thus the problem, it is coming up very soon but I do not know when, this time of the year can be tough for someone coming from your area of the country. The weather is so iffy this time of the year, you have to be flexible and realize that you may get blown out after traveling a loong way.

Thanks for the responses but I have already hooked up with a couple of retired good ol boys that have offered to take me fishing until my arm's hurt. I am trying to get a flight for a decent price to make the trip sometime in March.
