i was at mp140 last weekend, caught a nice cobia there
the best $40 you will ever spend is on hilton's offshore atlas (destin to venice)
it's got all the rigs & reefs marked with coordinates

otherwise, go here

MP140 http://www.rodnreel.com/gps/GpsPointDetail.asp?ID=34583
Ram Powell http://www.rodnreel.com/gps/GpsPointDetail.asp?ID=35133

what's the block & # for the horesehoe rigs?

http://www.rodnreel.com/gps/GpsSearc...DepthLow=&Age=

the horse shoe rigs are in main pass 305 and 306. roughly 29 13.360 88 34.350
you can go to the above link and click on nautical chart beside one of the rig listings for 305 or 306.
it will take you to a block chart. you can change the scale out to 1:456,394 and still see the rigs.
if you scale out any higher than that it won't show the rigs.

sorry about the above link being so long to go off the edge of the page.
i tried to make the link come out in two lines so it wouldn't do that but it didn't work.

Thanks guys. When I do my trips, I will be running out the mrgo/gulf outlet fishing breton Isle and staying sometimes overnight on the houseboat and running out the next day, or straight from my place. Breton is only about a 40 min. run and I can get some good trout fishing in then go out. I know out of venice is easier but my new camp is in Proctors Landing in Shell Beach and that is where I will be out of and have to do it from there. I guess it is doable as many have farther runs to these areas that leave out of Miss or Ala? Since it will only be 1 maybe 2x/month it isn't that bad . Will be runnin' a 26' Reg.
Thanks again might need a tag along for a trip soon. Anyone willing let me know.
Thanks again.

Always willing..

Horseshoe rigs vary from 220 to 320 feet of water
many people dont know that there is a dome in the middle
of the rigs which rises up to about 170'

It drops off pretty quickly just south of these rigs the 100
fathom line is only a couple miles away.

Ram Powell... is 28nm ese of there.... 3200 feet of water...

The dome in the middle of the Horseshoes is the Viosca Knoll. That area looks really good due to this knoll, the rigs, and proximity to the shelf.
All the best,
