For bay fishing just south of Lake Charles, La in Calcasieu lake is a great place. The specks and reds and flounder have been biting very well. If it's not too windy you can fish the entire lake easily. In the wind you have to pick your spots, but with the shape of it it is easy to do.

Offshore you have plenty of options along the way but you will have to drive. Sabine is not a bad place, Jetties are fairly close to I-10.
