the same billfish lures will work all over the world. Each area has colors and shapes that they think are better but I have traveled and used the same lures and they worked everywhere. Look at your boat and outrigger setup first, then at the sea conditions and speed you troll. that will determine what lures you need more than the area you fish.

On my Contender w/ T-top riggers i can pull any shape head because of the low angle of the riggers. I prefer 6.5 to 7.5kts on my outboard over 7.5 to 8.5 on the big boat. at the slower speeds lighter heads will run with no problem. rough days flat and concave heads will work better than angle faced lures. size is related to your tackle more than anything. size your hook to the lure and rod. ie a 12/0 hook on a large lure will not work on a 30lb outfit because you will not have enough drag to set the hook. generally 8/0 to 10/0 - 30 lb, 8/0 to 11/0 - 50 lb, and 80lb can use any size hook. (I am talking about the line size not the reel size) the hook bend should be roughly the same as the diameter of the lure head.
As for color, I had Moldcraft make me an all clear lure and it catches as many as any other color. color is more for the angler then the fish. BTW I own a tackle shop and would love to sell lures because of color but that would be a load of crap.

I hope this helps
